The following shall be the permanent Office Bearers for five years term and their functions will be as follows:
Chairperson: S/he will be as one of the reputed trustees. The Chairperson will preside over the Annual Conferences of the Association and conduct its proceedings and trust meetings of the GB. S/he will lead the trust. S/he will be having all academic, administrative and financial sanctioning powers. The Chairperson is principal executive Officer.
Vice- Chairperson: S/he will be one of the trustees. The Vice Chairperson may work in the absence of or as per the directions of the Chairperson.
General Secretary: S/he will be a trustee. S/he shall undertake organizational and related functions. S/he shall be the custodian of records. S/he will be authorized signatory for smooth functioning. He/she will be the principal communicator.
Joint Secretary: S/he will be one of the trustees. In the absence of the General Secretary joint secretary will function. Additionally, s/he may function as per decisions/the directions of the trust secretary.
Treasurer: S/he shall be a one of the trustees and preferably of accounting expertise. The treasurer will maintain financial records of income and expenditure. He shall present it as required by the GB or Core Committee and get it audited as per the government rules.
Mobilizing financial resources and accepting donations and grants.
Managing Editor: A trustee having background of editorship and research aptitude. Managing editor may be assisted by decadal members through editorial board.
Members: The function of the members will be to participate in Governing Board and deliberate on agenda with voting right. They may chair the core committee formed by the GB. Later they may become office bearers after the completion of tenure of GB. They may function as per the direction of GB as well.
There can be minimum 11 trustees including the above office bearers. The number of trustees can be reasonably enhanced up to maximum 21 in case of very large expansion of the IEA Trust decadal membership, assets, wealth and financial viability.
The inclusion of new person in the Trust will depend on seniority of Professorship, reputation of Professor, amount of monetary and/or non-monetary donations, ethics, entrepreneurship and commitment to contribute for the Trust. The GB will finally decide on this issue of inclusion of new member in the Trust beyond 11 in future.
All the GB members have choice to resign from GB or Trust on personal health or other grounds.
The quorum of the GB will be two-third of the total members in nearest rounding.
Editor of Journal/ Book/Policy Papers and other Publications
The Chief/Managing Editor of the Journal will be nominated by the trustees for a period of five years. S/he will look after all works pertaining to publication of Journal, book and any other publications of IEA. There can be other editors to assist the Managing Editor. In addition, there can be editorial board with due approval of the trust. On line or print Journal with ISSN number will be published on paid basis for economic viability on no profit no loss basis. Indexing/citation should also be promoted by the managing editor.
Managing Editor shall be one of the trustees. He will be advised and/or assisted by up to 11 (eleven) member’s editorial board. There may be also advisory board as recommended by the Managing Editor.

Conference Chairperson will be invited by the Trust GB on the recommendation of the Chairperson. The Chairperson of GB may consult the academic core committee on this issue like a search committee. The conference chairperson will recommend the venue and organising secretary of the conference. Both will have to join as non-trustee member and help organise the annual conference with sufficient resource mobilisation. The Conference Chairperson will deliver address on the emerging and contemporary theme of economics during the inaugural session of annual conference every year. S/he may also finally recommend the conference papers reviewed by managing editor for publication.
